pH Formula Skin Resurfacing2020-07-21T19:00:49+00:00

pH formula resurfacing treatments use a unique delivery system whereby providing controlled, targeted delivery of the active acids into the skin, stimulating the production of collagen and new skin cells with minimal destruction to the surface layer of the skin (epidermis).

The focus is to maintain a healthy acid mantle ie. the upper layer of the skin (epidermis) and used controlled chemical skin resurfacing compared too traditional strong chemical peeling.  pH formula is the first pharma-cosmeceutical based on technology of regenerative medicine. The dermatological skin resurfacing system targets specific skin conditions;

1. Ageing2. Hyper-pigmentation
3. Acne
4. Rosacea / Chronic redness

The benefit of advanced controlled skin resurfacing:

  • Combined acids

Why is the pH Formula MD TCA different?

The TCA TOUCH™ in the MD line is at a much safer concentration of 30% and still delivers incredible results, it uses the safest form of Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) skin treatment to date. It is a non-ablative peeling system meaning it doesn’t burn the top layers of the skin. The chemical formulation has been transformed by dividing the molecules into Dichloroacetic acid and Monochloroacetic acid. This combination allows the formula to keep the maximum chloro molecules but combined with different pKa, therefore is less aggressive for the skin. It is also enriched with Arbutin for its skin lightening properties and Magnesium Sulfate as an anti-inflammatory effect. This reduces the downtime, pain and risks associated with the classic TCA treatment procedures. Unlike other TCA treatments, this makes the procedure suitable for all skin types and skin disorders.

ADVANCED SKIN RESURFACING

1 – Anti-Ageing

Using a powerful combination of active and effective skin resurfacing acid solutions this treatment can help improve the typical signs of ageing like photo-ageing, pigmentation, dull and sallow appearance, superficial and medium expression lines.

2 – Pigmentation

Hyperpigmentation occurs when melanin is overproduced in certain spots on the skin. This can result in flat, darkened patches of skin that are light brown to black in colour, and can vary in size and shape.

What is Melanin?

  • Provide the natural color of the skin
  • Protect against solar radiation
  • Thermoregulation
  • Contribute to the regulation of vitamin D

Types of Pigmentation

  • Age spots – caused by sun exposure, appear mainly on body parts that are frequently exposed, such as the face, hands and arms. They tend to be small, darkened patches of skin.
  • Melasma or Chloasma – often referred to as “the mask of pregnancy”, it occurs as a result of hormonal influences such as pregnancy and birth control pills, and causes dark and irregularly shaped areas on the face or arms that can be quite large.
  • Freckles – caused by sun exposure, and commonly appear on the face.
  • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation – occurs when a skin injury or trauma heals and leaves a flat area of discolouration behind.

How pH formula can help

  • Inhibit the production of tyrosinase
  • Lighten and reduce pigmentation
  • Anti-oxidant to help protect against UV
  • Regulate and improve function of melanocytes
